These terms cover your use of wnccampgrounds.com. By browsing the site, submitting information, creating an account or buying an advertising package, you agree to them.

About the directory

WNC Campgrounds lists campgrounds, RV parks, cabins and camping-related events in Western North Carolina. Listing information comes from public sources, from our sibling site WNC Trails, from campground owners and from visitors. We work to keep it accurate, but hours, fees, amenities and closures change — always confirm with the campground or managing agency before you go.

Listings and submissions

Anyone can suggest a campground or an event. Every submission is reviewed before it is published, and we may edit, decline or remove any listing. By submitting content you confirm you have the right to share it and grant us a license to publish and edit it on the site and across the WNC Trails network.

Claiming a listing

Owners and managers can claim a listing to keep its business details current. Claiming is free, requires verification, and does not affect how a listing ranks. Editorial descriptions remain under our control.

Advertising and refunds

Paid placements are always labeled (for example "Featured", "Sponsored" or "Advertisement") and do not buy an editorial recommendation. All advertising is reviewed before it goes live, and we may decline or remove placements that are misleading or break these terms. The terms below apply to advertising packages purchased on WNC Campgrounds: featured listings, sponsorships, homepage and display placements, sponsored articles and event promotions.

Review before activation. After checkout you send us the listing to promote and your promo copy from your account. Every placement is reviewed by our team before it goes live, usually within two business days. Placements start on the day they are activated, not the day of purchase.

Duration. Each package runs for the period shown on the package (for example 30, 90 or 365 days) from its activation date. When a placement ends, its promotional benefits are removed automatically; your standard listing is never deleted.

Refunds before activation. Full refund on request.

If we decline a placement. Full refund.

Refunds after activation. Packages are not refundable, except when we remove a placement for reasons other than a breach of these terms. In that case we refund the unused portion.

Event promotions. Refundable until the promotion is activated. If the event is cancelled after activation, we will move the promotion to a rescheduled date where possible.

Content standards. Promotional copy must be accurate and must not imitate editorial content. We may edit copy for length and clarity, and we label all paid content as such.

How to request a refund. Email hello@wnccampgrounds.com with your order number. We confirm by email within two business days, and approved refunds return to your original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days.

Price changes. Package prices may change for future purchases; they never change for a placement you have already bought.

Acceptable use

Please don't use the site to do anything unlawful, submit false or misleading information, attempt to access parts of it you're not meant to, or interfere with how it runs.

Outdoor activity and assumption of risk

Camping, hiking and other outdoor activities carry inherent risks, including weather, terrain, wildlife, water and remote locations. You are responsible for your own safety and for anyone in your care. Nothing on this site replaces your own judgment or official guidance from land managers.

Third-party sites

We link to campground websites, booking systems, WNC Trails and public agencies. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability, prices or policies.

No warranty and limitation of liability

The site is provided as-is. To the extent allowed by law, WNC Media is not liable for damages arising from your use of the site or from reliance on listing information.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Changes

We may update these terms. The effective date above always reflects the latest version.
